2022 Accomplishments

125th Anniversary Celebration
On April 30, we finally celebrated. The mayor issued a proclamation. State Grange President Susan Noah presented a 50-year certificate to Kim Furgason Daline and Beverly Herrold Hall accepted a 25-year certificate for her daughter Steffanie Hall Brown. We shared Winona’s history. Renters told their stories. We gave out seed packets. Tualatin High School’s StandUp members scooped ice cream. It was great to see our hall filled with 80 Grangers, former members, and visitors.

Harvest Festival

This year’s focus was on families.  The décor on our front steps set the scene.  Pumpkin decorating was a hit with all ages.  Prizes for the Pie/Cake Walk were donated by Nothing Bundt Cakes, Hungry Hero, and our members.  The Encore Vocal Ensemble sang appropriate songs, but the highlight was when Director Melinda Beyer led everyone in singing Old McDonald Had a Farm.  Harvest Trivia questions ranged from easy to challenging.  The afternoon concluded with ice cream sundaes.

Raffle prizes were donated by the Oregon Forestry Center, OMSI, Tigard-Tualatin Aquatics, Tualatin Island Greens, and Evergreen Aviation Museum.

At least 80 attended.  We’re already planning for next year.
